Just a year ago, me and my wife decided to start up our own business. We decided to put up our own restaurant since we felt that there was a shortage of fine dining places in our neighborhood. Since we didn’t come from a well off family, we had no choice but to go to the banks for money to start up our business. And at that time, we really had no business experience. All we knew was that we had an idea that would definitely sell so we decided to push through with it. So terms like Business Credit were foreign to us. All we knew was that we needed to get money for our restaurant. Since there was no one to guide us, we decided to take out Personal Loans since that was the easiest way to secure the money — there as much less paperwork to fuss about.
And fortunately, our gamble paid off pretty well. We have a very successful restaurant, which is a bit too successful. We often have a long waiting list. It often pains me to send away customers since our seating capacity is very limited. So when the store next to our little restaurant folded up, we knew we had to grab that space to expand our business. But when we tried getting more loans from the bank, we were told that they cannot accommodate us anymore since our personal credit is almost maxed out. It’s a good thing one of the bank managers explained to us that we can get Business Loans from our restaurant since it has been performing pretty well. So a few months later, we are now doubling our seating capacity and we hope that we won’t be turning away any customers anymore.
